CYBER WAR IN AMAZONIA: THE INTERNET INDIANS

The following video takes you right into the Ashaninka´s World in Brazil. You will find out how indians are using internet to communicate with one another and with the world. It has become a powerful tool to protect the ancestral land from wildlife poaching and illegal logging.

It also becomes apparent that there might be other hidden interests behind this deal. For one, the government could use the Internet Indians to establish some sort of spy web thoughout the whole of Amazonia.

Secondly, by protecting the forest they also protect indirectly the interests of the big pharmaceutical companies. After all, tropical plants are cash in the bank. Medicines derived from plants are big business.

But we don´t want to sour the party. Watch it and travel to the Brazilian jungle without polluting the air! Enjoy it!!
