ROYAL CROAK: THE NEEDLE IN A HAYSTACK

Thousands of people die each day round the clock around the world. Some have quick and smooth deaths. Others have long, sad and tragic ends. Ces´t la vie de l´homme oú l´homme n´est pas encore un homme!

Most human deaths do not make it to the global media. However, a few become a world issue and a merry-go round, becoming a big fuzz in the press.

The news vultures of the media know that most people enjoy peeping into the private lives of the rich and famous.

This is precisely what they put on the pages of their newspapers. This is their daily bread. And the public always bite and swallow the bait.

There are many reasons as to why people want to know whether or not the rich people lead a different life than theirs.

In many ways they do but if summed up, be it rich or poor people all may, can or do eat shit.

People are basically the same anywhere. The wealthy seem to enjoy life much more but when it is time for them to eat shit they do indeed eat a lot more of this stuff.

They do not eat just a pile of shit but a long sequence of piles of shit. In other words, they get an endless chain of piles of shit.

Their damn problems are huge: Giant debts, giant bills, watching their backs from their own enemies round the clock, faster emotional turnovers, coping with boredom, fear of losing face and/or what they have, restless nights thinking about how to make more money, vampirising the crowds to fill up and blow up their imaginary worth... Everything is big for these human black holes

They are hanging from a thread day in, day out and with nothing they are nothing and feel nothing. They are totally owned by their own mounds of sacks of money.

So, should they ever fell, their dive to the cesspool of their own making would be longer and their plunge deeper (Fig. 1).

Figure 1. A deep plunge.

On the other hand, if you are on the lower levels of the human society pyramid, if your stack of cards come tumbling down, you have a lot less to lose.

You may end up crazy, being kicked out of bed by your mate, on the streets, in jail or on the other side of the fence underground as fodder for the worms but chances are that, provided that you have done your inner homework in your spare time, you may feel relief that someone took the shell off your back.

After all, a life solely dedicated to making money can lead you to a place where there is no place but a place where you find a place without feeling such place is your place and you may end up feeling out of place. You are always searching for a place and are always in danger of having no place where there should be a place for anyone who wants a place but find no place in a world full of places.

Let us see the case of a famous person who wanted a place but found instead a place where she felt out of place until one day she finally found a place when she least expected it, the place where all people like it or not are sent to finally rest. The place where everybody ends up no matter what they have been searching for in life, a place with or without a place in a world where nobody can have forever his or her place.

This case is a needle in a haystack. A royal croak. A royal on a quest where there was really no quest.

It is someone´s view of what appears to be the needle in the haystack where only a selected few know exactly where the needle was placed:
