Rising sea levels is going to be one of the greatest challenges man has yet to face. This phenomenon is happening right under our noses, right now (Video 1).

To solve this problem, if we can, it will be a matter not only of technology and money but also how much we humans are willing to change our squandering habits as of now - e.g. cruising around with cars by millions of people and adding more CO2 to the atmosphere. The future is already here.

A new paradigm is also needed. It would help. 

Scientists and governments, if good, can do so much. But the biggest part is left for each of us as consumers to do. 

We have got to understand that one push on the gasoline pedal of the car can impact upon the lives of thousands of humans and nonhumans far away and also affect the gas balance of the atmosphere, for instance. 

Are we willing to reduce our wasteful habits? This is the question.

Everything is connected. One drop of water is an ocean. Oceans give us life. 

But our lives can be reclaimed by the oceans any time.
