La récente parution de l'ouvrage The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy ( Le lobby pro-israélien et la politique étrangère américaine ), écrit par les professeurs John Mearsheimer (Université de Chicago) et Stephen Walt (Université Harvard), est une version allongée d un article paru dans une revue américaine en 2006, et qui avait entraîné une vive polémique aux États-Unis. Leur thèse tient en un point essentiel : le soutien considérable des États-Unis à Israël est dû à l influence politique du lobby pro-israélien sur le sol américain. Un lobby qui dicterait même la politique étrangère américaine dans un sens pro-israélien. Comment fonctionne ce lobby?
