The little girl had never seen any factory farms (Video 1). So the whole thing came to her as a big surprise. It was really shocking to her.

 Video 1. Battery hens.

After seen the thousands of hens enclosed in batteries, her mind went on an endlesss spin. Many questions came to her mind.

The first question she asked to her father was:
  • Dad, what is the difference between keeping chickens in such small cages one on top of the other and keeping people in slavery?

Tough question.

It would be easier to explain to children this matter if we did not do what we do to animals in farms and slaughterhouses.

But the fact is that humans not only exploit and kill animals but they also do the same thing to their own species.

People enslave people and many enslaved people disappear forevever without a trace as to their whereabouts. There is no trace because many of these enslaved humans were thrown into the organ harvesting ring.

It is not an easy task for a parent having to explain and answer any inquisitive child´s questions on tough issues that adult human beings having even been able to solved yet on a global scale.

How do you explain to a seven year old child that it is estimated that there are nearly 30 million people in modern slavery globally?

How do you tell your child that many of these modern slaves are killed like pigs in a slaughterhouse in order to extract the organs from them for the black market?

Since they are hard questions to deal with, it is best to approach them from the opposite direction: At home.

Thus, it is easier for children to learn to do what parents do than what they tell them to do at home.

So if you are a parent, you´d better watch out what you do in front of your child. Make sure it is good. Your child is the fruit on your own society.

We already have too many rotten apples in the bin. Make sure that your child is not one of them.
