The morning sun came up and found people doing what they always do. Some were getting ready to go to bed after a long night´s work shift.

Others headed to the bathroom to take a dump, followed by a chain of nothingness to make themselves more attractive to face the world of naked apes. Work was already waiting for them at the office.

There were others who were busy doing some last minute heavy breathing, hoping to have a more relaxed day after wrestling in bed.

Everybody had something to do as the day unwound. It takes a lot of people to keep running any city worldwide.

Be they hard or lousy workers, hookers, thieves, politicians, students, housewives and numerous ways to make a living, all are part of this economic dance man has invented and are also trapped in the cement den that has made almost everyone as hard as a rock inside where matters the most.

Out of the North came a gust of nippy autumn wind bringing down the last colourful leaves on the deciduous trees which were about to go to sleep to cope with the tough winter that was around the corner.

The Arctic wind found few people happy, some pretending to be happy and others extremely unhappy in the city.

This weather phenomenon also witnessed medical emergencies and losses which would affect people´s lives on the emotional side.

One morning Frieckie was full of piss and vinegar and the next thing you knew he was ill at night. These things tend to happen when you least expect them.

Frieckie, who is by no means a frickie even though sometimes he acted like a freaky, came back home one night shaking, losing control of his bowels, a racing heartbeat and with intensive foaming in his mouth.

Upon seen what had happened to his beloved friend, his inseparable friend, Marcus freaked out and did not know what to do except rushed Frieckie to the nearest hospital hoping for the best.

Frieckie was on his last when he arrived at the hospital but the medical staff having had a couple of similar cases knew what to do and saved his life.

A week ago Marcus´ friend, Jasmine, had also the same problem with Starker, his faithful companion for about 14 years.

Doctors could do nothing for Starker. He was too far gone when he was brought to emergency. Starker died of a heart attack.

So now Jasmine must carry on with her life feeling empty and sad, especially when she goes by the park and remembers the good old days.

Both cases had a few things in common. They occurred at Görlitzer Park in Berlin, Germany.

There was another thing that made them a perfect match. These people´s long time companions had a free dessert available at the park. A dessert that eventually proved highly toxic and even fatal.

Was there another thing in common in this human equation?

Yes, Frieckie and Starker were dogs. And both had eaten what dogs always have whenever the opportunity arises: Dogs love human shit (Fig. 1).

And Frieckie and Starker had had human shit for dessert during their daily walk at the park.

It happens that Görlitzer Park is an area where drug traffickers and dealers have a ball in Berlin (Fig. 2).

And when nature calls, drug users just go into the bush and crap. As simple as that.

These drug addicts leave free dog desserts, human shit that is, contaminated with drugs, especially heroin.

So if any pooch comes along and has its "kleine Kuchen" (little cake, pastelito) after dinner, the pet will get terribly sick.

This is what happened to Starker and Frieckie since blood tests revealed heroin in their blood stream. Starker died of a heroin overdose because of a junkie turd.

They had had their fill of human Scheiße (shit, dung, mierda, merde) at the park.

Görlitzer Park functions as a canine restaurant where free toxic desserts are "served" by junkies, thereby endangering your pet´s life.

This has become a real problem, especially in the Kreuzberg-Friedrichshain and Treptow-Köpenick areas in Berlin.

Pet owners are worried and vets not so worried although they act worried when they need to be worried in front of a client. After all, having pets at the clinic is their daily bread. Nevertheless some are truly worried for your pet´s life.

Some vets are damn good and efficient. Thank God for that!

There are all sorts of people on the Lord´s Vine.

So if you happen to live near Görlitzer Park in Berlin (Germany), take your precautions when you take your dog out for a walk there.

And do not be stingy with your pets.

Stuff your pooch up at home so when you take it out to the park, it does not go around looking for a human turd for dessert.

Sometimes even after feeding it well at home and then emptying its gut at the park, the dog will still go on a search for snacks. Dogs are scavengers and explorers.

Dogs like to find out any heaping or wet "news" left by other dogs. Dogs go for dogs as much as humans go for other humans. Each one to its/his own trap.

One last thing. Be responsible and loving with your pets.

Don´t ever abandon them! They love you unconditionally!

Can you do that?
