Nowadays, farmed fish, especially smoked salmon, is surrounded by an aura of sophistication and glamour. They tell you that this industry is "eco-friendly" and "green", i.e. sustainable, and all of that crap just to make you feel a little less guilty about your fucking squandering life.
The farmed fish industry folks spend a lot of money in advertising to tell you subsconsciously that if you eat this kind of fish you will feel healthy and charming like a Greek god or goddess, having blood vessels without any heart-smashing fat, and what have you.
And people, being so gullible, believe all of this bullshit to the end of times, so much so that their time is a time to talk about fish all the time whenever they get the chance to talk about it to anyone who crosses their time line.
But if you are a farmed-fish devouring devil without ever having any consideration for the environmental impact of this industry - for it uses soybeans grown in what once were tropical forests in South America (e.g., Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay), slaughterhouse scraps [blood meal, meat and bone meal (from cows, horses, pigs, sheep, etc), poultry by-products (feather meal, bone meal, skin meal)], krill meal and fish meal from globally declining fish stocks to manufacture fish feed - obviously, you had better know that fish farms are extremely nasty on the Mother Nature. They shit the ocean (Video 1):
