INFIERNOS DE ANIMALES: AUDITORIA DE LOS MATADEROS DE OVINOS Y EQUINOS EN ESPAÑA

A continuación citamos un párrafo de las irregularidades que una Auditoría de la Comisión Europea (2013) encontró en los mataderos encargados de mandar al infierno a las ovejas y los caballos en España, cuya carne sirve para satisfacer el gran apetito carnívoro de los Homo "sapiens" a lo largo y ancho del planeta: 

Below we quote a paragraph from the irregularities found by the European Commission (2013) in the Spanish slaughterhouses in charge of sending to hell sheep and horses, whose meat will be used to satisfy the carnivore appetite of huge numbers of Homo "sapiens all over the world:

“El equipo de auditoría de la OAV consideró que globalmente se habían respetado las normas sobre bienestar animal. La manipulación de los animales y el equipo eran satisfactorios. Sin embargo, se presenció un incidente en un establecimiento, al cual se trasladaron dos cerdas no aptas para el transporte. Una de ellas, con síntomas evidentes de prolapsus uteri necroticans, murió durante la estabulación. La otra, con artritis avanzada e incapaz de desplazarse, fue arrastrada viva por el suelo. El veterinario oficial reaccionó de inmediato y dio instrucciones al personal que, no obstante, no las obedeció. El animal no fue aturdido adecuadamente y fue elevado y desangrado cuando aún estaba consciente. Este establecimiento, que debía cerrarse, disponía de procedimientos adecuados, pero el personal no los respetaba.” [5.2.9 Bienestar de los animales en el momento de su sacrificio o matanza]

"The current FVO audit team found that the rules of animal welfare were in general respected. Handling of animals and the equipment were satisfactory. However, an incident was seen in one establishment, where two sows unfit for transport were brought to the establishment. One of them, with evidence of prolapsus uteri necroticans, was dead in the lairage. Another one, with advanced arthritis and unable to move, was dragged alive across the floor. The OV reacted immediately and gave instructions to the staff, however, he was not obeyed. The animal was inadequately stunned, hoisted and bled when still conscious. This establishment, which was due to be closed, had adequate procedures in place but these were not respected by the staff." [5.2.9 Animal welfare at the time of slaughter or killing]
