Puerto Rico is a testing ground for GM crops. The biotechnology investment is enormous. This frankenindustry employs nearly 3.000 people, with an investment of about 3,5 billion USD in the last few years.

Most people outside this island do not know anything about this business-biotech deal that comprises academia, government and private investment corporations. This alliance compounds the Puerto Rico TechnoEconomic Corridor (PRTEC).

The tropical climate makes Puerto Rico an ideal place for biotechnology companies (Dow, Syngenta, Monsanto, Pioneer, Abbot, etc.) (Video 1). They can get up to four crops per year, without much opposition from the Puerto Rican public

There is a biotech umbrella on the island:  The Puerto Rico Agricultural Biotechnology Industry Association (PRABIA), founded in 1995. PRABIA points out that its main function is "to promote the development of the research and production of genetically improved seed in Puerto Rico."

Current crops worked on the island, according to PRABIA, include: corn, soy, rice, sorghum, cotton, sunflower, beans, tomato and peanuts

The companies are interested in developing "resistance to pests ands diseases, drought and herbicide tolerance, and high yield and nutritional value seed production."

These are the companies associated under PRABIA:

  • 3MG   – Santa Isabel
  • Bayer – Sabana Grande
  • ICIA – Juana Díaz
  • ISU – Iowa State University – Isabela

When it comes to GM matters if compared to Americans, someone has said that Puerto Ricans are in the dark as far as to genetic engineering and food biotechnology issues are concerned.

What worries some environmentalists is that a lot of testing is done outdoors, with uncontrolled experimentation.

Puerto Rico also has the largest concentration of pharmaceutical companies in the world (Table 1). Pharma companies go hand in hand with biotechnology companies, for both are interested in developing and marketing new products in the therapeutic areas so they need carry out research on protein pharmaceuticals, vaccines, stem cells, biomarkers, genetically enhanced microorganisms, biotransformation and formulation and advanced synthesis.

The following report (Video 2) gives us an idea of what is going on in Puerto Rico, the biotech Caribbean island.

The way it goes, Puerto Ricans will soon be the first franken people in the Caribbean region

In the end we will all become grey aliens

When humans are all fucked up to the gills with large hairless heads, slanted eyes, long slender necks, small mouths, no teeth, rubbery long arms, short smooth and weak, legs, males with no penis and swollen balls, females with bumpy breasts like sacs full of potatoes and no cunt, no noses, no ears, grey or green skin, and webbed hands and feet, not until then and only then will governments declare they were wrong in supporting biotech dangerous projects of crazy scientists and boundless ambitious businessmen in an effort to play gods.

Of course we could become extinct sooner due to some armageddon transgenetic critter that terminates humans. The end of this nasty two-legged stupid primate that tortures and pollutes the sacred Earth.

By then we all be like grey aliens. And who knows if these supposedly extraterrstrial beings are really terrestrial, in other words is us turned into aliens (Fig. 1) thanks to biotech frankensteins that screwed us up biologically speaking to racial sterility and cul-de-sac evolutionary lines and come from the future hoping to see what went wrong with our stupid and crazy civilisation

There´s no question that Homo sapiens is fucking insanely insapiens!
