We all are space travellers on this planet we call “Earth”. Here each of us has a space within a space within another space surrounded by more spaces.

Each of us is an entire universe within another universe.

In the beginning, in our childhood space, our time seems to last a long, long time. Happy or unhappy times can extend for a long time as well.

Childhood means the beginning of our voyage within infinite space and time.

Within the complexity space and time we call life, taking into account many factors (genetics, biogenetics, upbringing, social space, economics, nutrition, intestinal microbiota, etc.) and the many odds each of us has to face ever since we enter this space of life, if we were lucky and landed within the space of a happy and loving family, most likely we will learn to be happy and loving in our adult lives.

Thus, in adulthood we will or tend to give to others around our own space and time that which was given to us when we were children.

The reverse may be or can be true too.

Love and kindness are good qualities we learn and develop at home from and with our parents or tutors, and which later on may be reinforced and increased at school or by the right peers in the adolescent space, or ruined, depending on multiple factors.

In other words, the first school, which may be the best or the worst one, is at home with our parents.

Also, living means challenges. Throughout life, we get peaceful times and also many a storm.

Nevertheless, considering that humans are flexible creatures, if our path is crooked somewhere along the line, we can also learn to get rid of negative attitudes and shape ourselves positively to improve our own lives.

Now, as a species and due to events and habits of our own making, since we are living difficult times and they might get more complicated as time goes by, in such a human space, love and compassion towards everyone else, be it human or nonhuman, and being caring and respectful towards the environment around us are and will be the only keys which can save us from our own destruction.

So whatever may have been your own childhood like, here are a couple of clips to think about it:
