A good shepherd always makes sure his sheep are well fed and watered. He takes his sheep to good pastures every day and protects his flock from predators with the help of dogs.
Likewise, in the name of the big buck, globalised corporations (GC) go to great pains to make sure their human sheep (sheeple) get plenty of things to buy on ever sprawling shopping malls and supermarkets.
This way the sheeple will never run out of stuff to squander about to keep the fucking antibiospheric economy ever growing until the whole planetary ecosystem network collapses.
The GCs also have watch dogs to take care of their respective human flocks. Keep in mind that the GCs are in cahoots with governments to watch over their flocks of human slaves as well.
Both are hands of the same Hidden Hand that never shows its hands but has its hands on everything it can get its hands on in the name of the game of hands of the hands with no hands but has hands to keep tethered the hands of everyone.
In the name of "national security", the GCs can count on high tech armies of armed-to-the-teeth brainwashed men and women or mercenaries who are ready to "give their lives for their country" or who ever pays best, respectively. And everything is paid for by the taxpayers hard throttled sweat.
