ATTENTION TO ALL NATURE DEFENDERS!! (¡UN LLAMADO URGENTE A LOS DEFENSORES DE LA NATURALEZA!!)

       I am Mr. Poplar. Please spare my life!  Soy don Chopo. ¡Por favor no me matéis!

                                     

We are a group of concerned citizens focused on the conservation of the biodiversity and are fighting to save the lives of all century-old trees found in Jaca (Huesca, Spain).

At this moment, we have been able to stop only temporarily the chopping down of a beautiful century old black poplar tree we dearly call “Mr. Poplar”.

We need this news be known outside Spain. We need the support of anyone who is interested in defending Mother Nature around the world.

Somos un grupo de ciudadanos comprometidos con la conservación del patrimonio natural y estamos luchando por salvar a los árboles centenarios de Jaca (Huesca, España).

En este momento hemos logrado parar temporalmente la tala de un bellísimo chopo al que cariñosamente llamamos “don Chopo”.

Necesitamos que la noticia corra fuera de España. Necesitamos de la ayuda de todos los defensores de la naturaleza en el mundo.

Mr. City Mayor of Jaca,  I kindly request you stop cutting down the century-old black poplar tree found on the Camino Corona de los Cuervos (Ravens´Crown Way), Jaca, which we hope will be named Natural Monument very soon, as specified in article 33 of Law 42/2007 of the National Trust and Biodiversity.
