As a general rule, if you don´t have something you desire it. If you get it, chances are that what you get will get you in the end. It will become your master. You become a slave of your own damn things.

We are talking about greed. Greed is the disease that has gripped the vast majority of humans around the world, being trained to chase this dream from cradle to tomb.

But there is a catch: Having more than what you need is emotionally and, sadly, environmentally expensive.

This is man´s story since the beginning, a quest for having more of what cannot be had, for he is only a fleetering tourist on this planet.

Right now, in the 21st century, anyone who has more than the rest of people is therefore more enslaved by what he has than anyone who doesn´t have a damn thing.

Thus, the greedier you are, the more enslaved you are.

And remember, we ain´t talking about not having anything as you understand it. It is deeper than that.

People do know when they have nothing. But not many know when they have too much of the much that belongs to everyone on Earth: The ones that have enough, the few that have too much and the many that have nothing at all.

The gist of today´s movie (Are we done yet?, Una casa patas arriba) is about this. It is about a robotic man (a social nomad or chamaelon) who becomes trapped by his own trap.

A man who along with his family finds himself economically trapped inside his new home which was supposed to give him and his folks more freedom.

His dream home turns into a fucking nightmare. Although there is a happy ending where friendship is highlighted over everything else, which is indeed good.

What is known as "freedom" also pops up in this movie. Not explicitly but cleverly disguised as a choice and this can take many shapes: climbing the social ladder, a job in the market,  having a business, etc.

Of course, what appears to be one´s choice in reality may be their choice, coming from the top of the pyramid, in a game where all the cards are never displayed on the table.

Therefore, "freedom" can mean different things to different people, depending upon where you are in the pecking order.

"Freedom" is such an illusive and trampled thing. It is at the tip of the tongue and hangs around the neck of almost every politician who wants to smoothly rob you. It is not about shopping for what you don´t need nor jacking or fucking around. It goes beyond that.

And just when you thought you had it, it slips away out of your hand and life. And what you end up with is an illusion.

An illusion that wraps you within a million illusions. And you die thinking you were free when all you had was a piece of string that kept you tethered to another illusion.

The funny thing is that as you were traversing your damn quota of life, meaning you were having this illusion, there was another "person" with a bigger illusion sucking up your juice which was also an illusion. An illusion feeding an illusion with illusion.

So in the end, illusioned sucker and sucked finish the croaking line disillusioned. Such is man´s life, full of insanity.

For man is really a creature born out of a big fart of Life.

And if he is not careful with his fucking toys, he may end his days fried up in his own nuclear fart.

So much philosophising for today. We will now move on to the movie. We hope you enjoy it.

But don´t forget this movie has subliminal messages, some visible and others invisible.

For instance, it throws here and there the usual tricks on wildflife or the overt messages of meat consumption and fancy desserts at the table, overeating habits that are at the centre of a health epidemics (diabetes, cardiovascular problems, obesity, etc.) in the USA and beyond.

Anyway, we don´t want to spoil the party. Welcome to today´s mental masturbatorium. Have fun!:
