Supongamos que tenemos un jarro lleno con mil canicas de diferentes colores, las tomamos y las esparcimos por el suelo. Luego cogemos un aro de unos 50 cm de diámetro y lo colocamos sobre las canicas, entonces veremos que muchas se quedan fuera del aro. Así funciona la ciencia. Sólo estudia aquellas canicas que están dentro del aro y cualquier científico que se atreva a estudiar las que están fuera es inmediatamente desprestigiado, vilipendiado y otras cosas más. Si pierde su empleo, pierde su casa, su coche y esposa o marido. Se queda sin nada. Y este es una ruta que la mayoría de científicos no están dispuestos a asumir por cualquier medio. Solamente los audaces y valientes.
