SLOVAKIA: PHEASANT SHOOTING AT PALÁRIKOVO CASTLE

Source: YouTube.

By Wolfgang von Eschenbach
November 4, 2015

Once they get started, the hunters shoot one shot after another, and soon, before you realise, a Noah´s rain of dead or wounded birds falling down from the sky breaks loose.

The rain of massacred birds keeps busy the retrieving dogs. The happy masters smile.

This goes on for a long time.

The gathered hunters, some of whom are probably feeling like a King Louis XIV during a chase, call this "ethical hunting"

What are they shooting at?

Tame pheasants!

But the business-oriented wardens will tell you that the poor victims come from a "carefully managed" pheasantry (Fig. 1) established in 1752, following the "best game management techniques" available in the field, so that they can thrilled their dispatchers  one day, some of whom have come from many corners of the world, even as far as the United States, just to hunt on the groomed grounds of Palárikovo castle (Károlyi castle, formerly owned by count Ludovit Károlyi) in Slovakia.

According to Wikipedia (2015), Palárikovo castle is where many of the discussions to create the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC) (French: Conseil International de la Chasse et de la Conservation du Gibier, German: Internationaler Rat zur Erhaltung des Wildes und der Jagd) took place, which was established in 1928. This castle has become the CIC museum (Fig. 2)

Since the beginning, the CIC has promoted ideals for sustainable and ethical hunting, stressing that hunting and the conservation of wildlife go hand in hand, and gaining global recognition as an independent advisor in the field of wildlife conservation (Wikipedia, 2015).

But what took place at Palárikovo castle on December 2014 cannot be called "sustainable" nor "ethical" hunting.

Besides, there is not such a thing as ethical hunting. Getting your brains blown out with a bullet is not ethical at all.

Notwithstanding, you might argue that "putting to asleep" an old, crippled or suffering animal, for example, is "ethical".

Also, there is the population ecology aspect which we shall leave outside this arena.

Since this can lead us to an endless discussion over ethical which will take us to a cul-de-sac where the animal´s point of view, with his own opinion on the issue, will always be lacking, let us leave it at that and move on.

The result of the shooting frenzy that took place in 2014 in the fields of Palárikovo castle is shown below: 1519 dead pheasants in a single day (Fig. 3)!:

After the hunters got their fill with pheasants, they took it on wild boar.

The panicked poor creatures did not know what was happening, for they are so used to seen people in the hunting grounds that they are almost domestic. They are tame boars, i.e. tolerant to human presence.

Here is a short film (Video 1) showing what happened to the unlucky birds and wild boars that day at Palárikovo castle in Slovakia:

Thus, let us ask you the following question:

Can this be really called ethical hunting?

Some people would say yes. Others, no.

It all depends on people´s economics, business intentions, psychological shuffling, fight against hidden fears, palliation of unexpressed and fearful sexual inclinations through killing, search for peer acceptance or social climbing, misdirected fulfilment of unmet emotional needs or extent of personal spiritual growth. They may all come together at hunting.

We call it a pheasant holocaust. Followed by a wild boar slaughtering.

To each his own.

What do you think?

From the Arctic to the tropics and deserts, man´s biggest problem has been not only how to keep alive but also how to keep from dying out of boredom, especially once he has had his fill and has for the next fill.

And of course, for men, apart from warmongering, it has also been finding a way to get their wick wet: How, where and when to get laid.

Throughout history, man has come up with hundreds of recipes to avoid death from boredom.

Amongst the lucky ones, especially those who landed in an oil rich land, in a world bursting at its seams with millions of hungry people, there are some previledged ones who collecting petro-dollars is a way of life to get a high life to keep boredom out of sight.

So, it is not surprising to find some men using their petro-dollars to get an adrenaline rush in greyhound chases in the desert (Videos 1-3):

The wise gorilla sends a greeting

Deep in the jungle, there is the story about a couple of gazelles that survived the nasty anthropogenic chases and hunts.

They immediatelly went to see the wise Gorilla. They told him everything about their recent hell.

Mr. Gorilla was quite upset about it because he had recently lost his mate to the fucking mad trophy hunters (Fig. 1).

Here is what the wise Gorilla said:

Greetings to all men and women (Homo insapiens) who engage in psychopathic hunting!

¿Accidental o no?

FUCKING HUNTERS KILLING ENDANGERED BIRD SPECIES IN EGYPT: HUNTING FOR BLOOD DIAMONDS

By Gundhramns Hammer
August 24, 2013

Source: CABS.

The most dangerous beast on Earth is man (Homo insapiens). No creature on this planet is safe from this fucking naked ape.

Looking at this planet from the cold perspective of the abundance of evil that occurs on a daily basis, out of man´s hand of course, we could perfectly call Earth a Demon Factory, throwing here and there the few wonderful and really exceptional persons who decide to walk on the good angel´s path.

This stinking fucking beast (Homo insapiens) goes hunting just for the pleasure of killing. Some fucking bastards of this bloody species love torturing and killing animals.

They travel to every corner of this planet searching what to shoot and bring it down. These happy trigger maniacs are screwing up the populations of animal species that are on the Red List.

For instance, the Committee Against Bird Slaughter (CABS) has recently reported the case of a few Maltese hunters who were killing protected and endangered bird species in Egypt (Video 1).

Video 1. Maltese hunters killing endangered birds in Egypt.

Hunters hunting for blood diamonds and narcotics

What looks like just plain hunting under closer examination reveals an unexpected feature. There are hunters that are hunters and there are hunters that are hunters and hunters.

Some hunters look like hunters but they not real hunters who are hunting the stuff that hunters hunt although they unfortunately hunt like hunters but what they hunt is not what other hunters who are real hunters hunt.

They are hunting for something else. Some of these fucking bastards are just using the hunter´s hunting disguise to fool whoever is around them. The hunting gear is a cloaking device.

These fucking hunters who are hunters and hunters but are not hunters but hunt and kill like bloody hunters are interested in picking up illegal merchandise (drugs, blood diamonds, etc.) which is then stuffed inside their hunted prey. In short, some hunters belong to the international mafia.

Who could suspect that a shot bird has a small sack of cocaine or diamonds inside the belly, for instance?

Even the hunter´s cooked bird could be used to transport illegal stuff, much like the roasted chickens with an unusual stuffing – $150,000 worth of cocaine, according to Nigerian police.

And the same thing occurs with some fishermen who look like fishermen but are not fishermen!

Thus, if your neighbour says the he is going on a "hunting safari to Africa", he could be telling you without you realising it that "he is going after some blood diamonds or narcotics" but you don´t know jack!!!

So, you people who work for secret intelligentsiya agencies, you´d better put your boots on, stop scratching your balls and do something positive in your life. Go and fuck up the "cacos" (mafiosi)!!

These horrors are happening every day, and not just in far away countries. Canned hunting grounds are almost as common as golf courses, many of the animals interbred specifically for this "sport".
