God have mercy upon us! China is following the steps of the United
States´ model of economic development. But the Chinese will take the
squandering way of life to higher levels because of the humongous
Chinese population. This is why the car fever has gotten a hold of
the Chinese. Owning a car has become the in thing to do in this
Asiatic country.
It
is not surprising the China has the most traffic accidents in the
world today. These are the leading cause of death for people under
45. In fact, the government has even a TV series featuring the worst
car crashes on the roads (Video 1).

Driving
has become so dangerous in China that there is a vast array of lucky
charms that you can buy for your car (Fig. 1).
