In 1789, the same year that the Constitution of the
United States came into effect, John Carroll, a Jesuit who was the first
catholic bishop and archbishop in this young nation, founded Georgetown University.
Since then, according to some experts, this university has been playing a considerable role in US politics and policies, at home and abroad. This is the unseen root.
Let us not forget that at the root level in man´s world, from the beginning of civilisations up till today, religion and politics go hand in hand.
Why is this so?
Because (perfect) gods do not need to eat, but people do.
Thus, any religious efforts to spread the so-called Word must sit on sound economic and political chairs. As simple as that.
